Pointe-Claire Moves – Winter Challenge

The City of Pointe-Claire is challenging its residents to stay active all winter long!

Everyone is invited to record the active minutes of their outdoor or indoor activities in the form below. All physical activities are welcome: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, walking, skating, building a snowman, virtual yoga, dancing as a family, and so on.

The active minutes from the entire community will be added up to reveal a unique winter visual! You have until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 19, to participate. A form for the whole family to fill out as many times as you want.

Each household that registers its active minutes will have a chance to win one of eight $50 gift cards from a business of your choice in Pointe-Claire or Valois.

  • Winter visual to be revealed

    Downhill skiing, nature hikes, shovelling, stationary bikes, walking the dog, yoga, skating, rowing... over 30 families got moving over the past month thanks to the challenge!

    We can finally unveil the snow globe.

  • Outdoor skating rinks

    Come out and enjoy the joys of winter at one of the many ice rinks. See the conditions, schedules and instructions for use of the skating rinks online.

  • Cross-country skiing and winter hiking

    Enjoy winter fun on the hiking and cross-country ski trails at the Beaconsfield Golf Club! See conditions, schedules and instructions for their use on the City’s website.

  • Recreational swimming at the Aquatic Centre

    Time slots have been added for recreational swimming at the aquatic centre. See the programming details online.

  • Public skating at the Bob-Birnie Arena

    Those who enjoy skating can book a public skating period at the Bob Birnie Arena online.

  • Active at home

    A series of activities are available online at no cost to keep you active. Adults and children alike will find resources in a variety of areas.

  • Terra-Cotta Natural Park

    Snowshoe trails have been laid out on existing trails to provide safe access to all users and ensure the flora and fauna is respected and protected. For more information, visit the City of Pointe-Claire website.

  • Snowmen and snow creations

    To inspire the community, citizens are invited to send us pictures of their sculpture, fort or snowman to be shared in a photo album on the City’s Facebook page.

  • Visit the public works of art

    Take a family walk and visit the murals painted on public buildings in Pointe-Claire.

  • La Grande marche sous zéro 2021
